ZTE executive teases 5.9″ WP9 handset with full HD display

ZTE has been quiet about their Windows Phone plans since it was revealed that Huawei was made an official Windows Phone partner. That changes today, as the company may be the first looking to release a “phablet” style Windows Phone akin to Samsung’s Galaxy Note Android device. The above image was pulled from Chinese Twitter-alike Weibo. The display is said to have a 1920 x 1080 resolution, which is pretty amazing for a phone.

Of course, this is all speculation at this time, since if you’ll notice the logos on those phones, they’re clearly the old brand Windows Phone 7. Still, ZTE could end up surprising us. We’ll keep our eye on this as it develops.

  • 5.9″? They’re going a bit overboard with these screen sizes.

WP9? Either this thing came from a time machine, or it’s not coming out for a while…

  • Yea, you know what? Just screw all these gigantic phones.
