Huawei Ascend W1 spotted again, this time in white

The Huawei Ascend W1 has been popping up on our radar many times lately, but so far we’ve only seen the cyan model. Today a new image of the phone has leaked, and this time it is in white. The specs of the Ascend W1 are 4″ display, 1.2GHz processor, 5MP camera, and NFC.

The phone looks like the offspring of a cyan Lumia 920 and HTC 8X. We will most likely see this phone revealed at CES in January (which we will be at), but it will probably only be available in China and Asia. That is a market that Microsoft needs, and this looks to be a great device.

Dirty. But I guess the more phone companies making WP the better.

  • I don’t like it, but they should have released the white version first. Less accusations that they’re trying to ride on Nokia’s coat tails with that cyan color.

  • Idk, I think we’re bordering on “if it’s a rectangle it looks like an iPad” territory.

  • Cyan is a unique color that Nokia uses for its phones, though. Black is a standard electronics color that most people seem to enjoy. You have to go out of your way to copy a peacock.
