Microsoft to fix random reboot issue with OTA update in December

Last week we mentioned a random reboot bug that has been plaguing Windows Phone 8 users. Microsoft has finally addressed that the issue exists, and they are working on a OTA fix for December. The rebooting issue has been reported on both the Lumia 920 and HTC 8X. Hopefully the fix comes early in December.

Comment from Microsoft:

“We’re continuing to investigate some reports of phones rebooting and have identified a cause with our partners. We are working to get an over-the-air update out in December.”

How bad is it? Is it just one or two reboots a day? Or is it something that will actually affect your productivity?

  • Definitely not 1 or 2 a day, more like 1 or 2 a week. It’s not a huge deal. My Nexus 7 reboots way more often…

Ah. I can live with that, then. Would still like to see a fix. LOL
