Windows Phone 7.8 gets shown off briefly on the Lumia 900

We probably won’t officially see Windows Phone 7.8 until next year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get a quick glimpse of it today. The video above shows a Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows Phone 7.8. We only get a quick look (37 seconds) at how it runs.

As expected it looks like WP8. The new tiles are all present, and that is pretty mush all we get to see. Scrolling and swiping does seem smooth and fast, but so does WP7.5. So this isn’t really the in-depth look we’ve been waiting for, but that should be here soon.

Microsoft is clueless. If they had given us the 7.8 update they would have a lot of happy customers, I know that they make more Money of the “new” OS, but I will not recommend that ANYONE buy a windowsphone running device. Most likely the Phones running WP8 will not see WP9, WP9 users won’t see WP10 (if Microsoft lasts that long O_o, it would surprise me). Because of this uncertainty I will Return to android or get a blackberry next year.

  • BlackBerry has way more to lose in the mobile space than Microsoft does. I’d rethink that decision.

Talk about good upgrades and Android, now I know your trolling. Android has the most fragmented upgrade system in existence.

I am hoping Microsoft will release a Surface phone soon. I mean think about it, it would be Microsoft’s version of the Nexus programs. Maybe they could push upgrades themselves and all.

FINALLY! Someone feels my pain. Microsoft is getting exactly what it deserves for alienating customers. Windows 8 sucks, Surface tablet is overpriced and Windows Phone 8 is another half baked phone. I hope everyone gives there money to Google, Apple and Blackberry. Let the Windows platform crash for screwing over the customers.
