Nokia announces the Lumia 620, the “most affordable” WP8 handset

If you thought Nokia was done for the year you were mistaken. The team from Espoo has just announced a new low-end Windows Phone 8 device named the Lumia 620. This is a low-end phone designed to be affordable. So offordable that Nokia boasts it is the “most affordable” WP8 device yet.

The Lumia 620 has a 3.8″ ClearBlack WVGA display with 800×480 resolution. It has a 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera (VGA front), 8GB of storage, and microSD support. It will come in seven colors of exchangeable shells: lime green, yellow, magenta, cyan, white, black, and orange. The 620 will be available in Asia, Middle East, and Europe markets in January. It will cost only $250 off contract.

If you’re looking for a cheap phone without a contract is an excellent choice.

$250 for this little guy is not bad at all. Windows Phones are affordable as they are, though. I would probably spend $200 and go for an HTC 8X or Lumia 920….

  • But you’re not going to get an 8X or 920 for $200 without signing a contract.

No I mean $200 over the $250. lol.

    Sorry, wrong wording. lol

I probably would have picked this phone up to stay off contract. Looks like a steal of a deal. Oh well, I love my Lumia 920 :)
