Windows Phone 8 update known as ‘Portico’ internally

We’ve known that Microsoft plans on releasing an update for Windows Phone 8 soonish in order to address some of the bugs and issues that people have been having with the operating system. No additional features have been discussed as of yet, but it’s rumored to be unveiled in February at Mobile World Congress. The world has taken to calling this update Apollo+, but WPCentral has learned that the update is being referred to as ‘Portico’ internally.

So what is a portico? It’s a small covered porch like what you see in the header image. It seems a fitting name for the update, as it is slated to put a few final touches on the OS to help make it more attractive. What do you think about the new name?
