Razer CEO discusses Windows 8 tablet specs

We’ve known for some time now that Razer planned on releasing a high end Windows 8 tablet designed for gaming. CEO Min-Liang Tan revealed on Facebook that the tablet will likely have an Intel core i5 or i7 processor along with a mid tier discrete GPU that would allow games to run at medium settings. Given these additions, the gaming tablet will be quite heavy but according to fans on the Facebook page, that’s not a factor for them.

The last big thing here is price, as Tan both wants to set a price where people will actually buy his product and not laugh it out of existence like the Blade laptop. With these specs, the tablet is expected to cost around $1,299 to $1,499. Ouch. Would you buy a tablet guaranteed to let you play Skyrim on the bus?
