Android 4.2 vs Windows Phone 8 Stock Keyboards [Video]

Yesterday we put the Windows Phone 8 keyboard to the ultimate test against Swiftkey for Android. The WP8 keyboard performed very well against what many consider to be the best keyboard Android has to offer. We got several requests to put WP8 up against the stock Android keyboard, which has gotten a lot better in recent times, so alas that is what we have done.

In this video we compared the predictive text on both keyboards. Android 4.2 has added a trace keyboard, much like Swype, so that is one area that Android wins. Other than that the WP8 keyboard performs very well. Check out the video above, and let us know if there is any other keyboard we should put up against WP8.

personally i dont think this video did the 4.2 keyboard justice, but i do think windows 8 mobile keyboard is better but not by much.

More than showing one as better than another, these videos really highlight how good keyboard options are in the mobile space right now. We’ve come a long way in a fairly short time and I’m excited about where we will go from here.

i don’t miss any WP8 features since i switched back to android. But the keyboard from WP8 is so great i would allmost switch back to WP8. Much better then android in daily use (except if your a swiper). if it came for sale for android i’d definitely buy it
