Windows Phone 8 update “Portico” still set to arrive this month

Last week the HTC 8X received a couple updates that added some minor features, but it turns out that was Microsoft’s way of testing the new OTA update system. The Portico update for all Windows Phone 8 devices is still slated to arrive some time this month. This information comes from the Nokia Care Twitter account.

The update itself will fix the random reboot bug a lot of phones have been suffering from. Portico will also add some new SMS features like drafts and a way to answer calls with a quick SMS message. There is more in the update that we’re not yet sure about, but we should know more by the end of the month.
