The release of Windows Phone 8 has been a boon for Microsoft fans, but several Xbox LIVE games have not been compatible with the new update. As developers slowly work to fix this, they’re running into problems that have not been forseen. Regardless, a string of title updates is upon is.
The first of which is for Oregon Trail HD, though it doesn’t come in the form of a patch, but rather back-end fixes to support Windows Phone 8. The title is available from the Windows Phone Store for a pricey $4.99, but can you really put a price on your nostalgic memories of dying of cholera and dysentery before Butte Rock?
One of the casualties of the Windows Phone 8 update has been Shoot 1UP, an excellent SHMUP that saw release on the Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Indie Game before being ported to Windows Phone 7. The developer is hard at work fixing Shoot 1UP for Windows Phone 8 release, but for now it has been de-listed for Windows Phone 8 phones.
