Pokki shows how much people miss the Start Menu in Windows 8 [Infographic]

One of the things people have been most vocal about when it comes to Windows 8 is the removal of the Start Menu. Most people have gotten used to the idea that the start menu of old has gone the way of the dodo bird, but some have refused and now use utilities to give them their start menu fix. Pokki is one such utility that we’ve covered here on the site, offering up the previous start menu experience along with HTML5 apps for several websites right on your taskbar.

I use it myself to keep track of my gmail and twitter so I don’t have to have numerous tabs open in my browsers. It’s a handy way to still have access to search on the desktop and have the Windows 8 start menu when you need it. So what have they discovered about start menu use in the six weeks since Windows 8 has been available?

I would definitely miss it. It is just part of the ecosystem…. it feels weird not to have it.
