HTC rumored to be entering the Windows RT tablet market

Just yesterday we reported that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and HTC CEO Peter Chou have had regular meetings to discuss the future of both companies as partners. While no concrete evidence has emerged from these meetings, it looks like HTC is planning a Windows RT tablet for 2013, according to Bloomberg.

The devices are said to come in two flavors, a 7-inch tablet to take on the likes of Apple and Google, and a 120-inch tablet that will probably be similar to the Surface but much cheaper in price. Both devices are rumored to be powered by Qualcomm chips. HTC is said to have considered full Windows 8 devices but decided they would be too costly at around $1,000, so they decided to scrap them for RT only versions for now.

Would you buy a 7-inch Windows tablet if the price were right?
