Skype for Windows updated to support Outlook.com

A new update for Skype for Windows now adds the ability to call any mobile or landline number within the Outlook web client. This update includes a built-in online status and contact information card for Outlook, as well as the ability to instant message using the service from within the Outlook web client. This is a much needed integration, since Microsoft plans on retiring Windows Live Messenger on March 15th.

It’s nice to see Microsoft bringing its services in line with one another, as Microsoft has owned Skype since 2011 and it has just now begun integrating it into its various properties. Do you approve of these changes?
