Surface Pro will be back in stock this weekend, says Microsoft

Last weekend Surface Pro finally went on sale, but consumers are having trouble just finding a place to buy one. It sold out quickly online, and retail stores reported having very limited quantities. The 128GB version was especially popular. if you’re still trying to get your hands on one we have some good news. Surface team leader Panos Panay was answering questions on Twitter during the #winchat. He was asked when Surface Pro will be back in store, and he had this to say:

Panay also said that demand for Surface Pro continues to be great. Without sales numbers we really can’t know for sure how “great” the demand is. With Surface RT sales reportedly low we hope that many people were waiting for the Pro model. Either Microsoft didn’t give stores enough units, or they really are selling well. We’ll wait for some official numbers. Until then this weekend looks like the time to snag a Pro.

  • I honestly believe Microsoft’s supply is the issue. One BBY got 2 64GBs and ZERO 128GB. Selling out of 2 isn’t good at all.

  • Surprise, surprise! as Gomer Pyle used to say.

I wonder if it will be more than 1 per store this time? Somehow, just somehow, I think there will be plenty this time. After all, no need to create a phoney grand opening sell out now. Microsoft done been there and done that already. Now I suppose they may actually try and sell some this time.
