Surface RT receives WiFi and driver improvements in latest update

Another Patch Tuesday is upon us which means a bevy of devices and services are receiving updates today. Among those devices and services is Surface RT. An official software update for Surface RT was made available today that addresses a few issues. A Microsoft Community moderator says that the updated addresses a “limited” WiFi connection issue. The update will also improve driver performance for things such as volume and power buttons.

This update will be downloaded automatically, or you can force it in the settings. Microsoft has been steadily improving and updating Surface RT since it was launched back in October. It has come a long way since then, but we fear it will always play second fiddle to it’s Pro brother. Windows RT devices have not been very popular. We wonder when Microsoft will lose interest.
