Microsoft planning next Windows Phone 8 update for the holidays

Last week we talked about the future of Windows Phone updates. There are a couple updates on the horizon before the next major update arrives in the form of Windows Phone “Blue.” Microsoft’s plan is to unite the platform for Windows 8. One thing we don’t know is when the updates will come.

A recent job posting has revealed that Microsoft is shooting for the holiday season for the next update. Microsoft is taking a much quieter approach to updates this year. Last year they used MWC to announce future update features, but then we had to wait a long time to see them. It is a better strategy to announce features when they are ready to arrive. It seems like a long time to wait, but at least we won’t have fancy features tangling just out of our reach.
