Evernote for Windows Phone gets updated with a new UI

Last week Google announced it’s note taking app Keep, and suddenly everyone realized how good Evernote is. The team has used that good promotion and delivered an update while they are still hot. Version adds a completely new home screen and some other nice features.

The homesecreen no features 4 tiles: New Note, camera, voice, and attachment. You can easily create something new with any of these tiles. Under the tiles is a list of recent notes. Shortcuts, a redesigned tag list, document search for premium users, notebook stacks, checkboxes, and speed improvements are also new addtions to Evernote. Shortcuts are a new feature that gives you quick access to most used notes. Unfortunately this update still does not optimize the app for higher screen resolutions, so those of you on the HTC 8X will still be seeing that empty space on the top of the app.

Evernote is available for free for Windows Phone 8 and 7.x.
