Nokia Lumia 520 shows up on eBay in red and black for just $240

The Nokia Lumia 520 was announced last month at MWC. Nokia called it the “cheapest Lumia yet,” and it looks like they weren’t lying. The Lumia 520 has shown up on eBay for the low price of $239.99 factory unlocked. It is available in both red and black versions. Buying the 520 unlocked means it won’t work on any high speed network such as AT&T LTE. You will be limited to AT&T or T-Mobile EDGE and 3G.

The Lumia 520 has a 4-inch IPS LCD display at 480×800 resolution, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD card slot, 5MP camera, and a 1430mAh battery. Bargain basement specs, for sure, but still a perfectly capable device. If you need a backup phone, or just something to throw a sim card in this is a nice phone for a great price. If $240 seems high just remember that you aren’t being tied down to any carrier by buying an unlocked phone. The less control the carriers have over you the  better. If you love this phone but need more than just EDGE it will be coming soon to T-Mobile.
