DYK: the Windows Phone calculator left and right landscape modes are diffrent

Here’s an interesting discovery that a user on Reddit made. The Windows Phone calculator has a hidden trick up it’s sleeve. You probably already know that rotating the app from portrait to landscape changes it from standard to more advanced operations. But that’s only half the story.

Rotating the app to the left┬áshows trigonometric functions while┬árotating the phone to the right shows you computer operations. Pretty cool, huh? The feature is not completely obvious, but seeing as how most people won’t need it we can’t really fault Microsoft for hiding it. It’s pretty cool that Microsoft has built this in at all. There must be some math geeks at Redmond.

Did you know about this feature?
