Nokia Lumia 928 parts leak, Verizon logo front and center

928 parts

We’re getting down to the point where we know almost everything about the Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon. If you like surprises stop reading now. The body of the phone has already been leaked in a render, and the specs have been floating around since before that. One thing we haven’t seen is pictures of the actualy physical device. Today a few parts from the Lumia 928 have shown up to give us our first glimpse at some actual hardware. As expected, the parts line up with what we saw in the previous render.

ETrade Supply is offering an LCD screen and digitizer assembly for the 928 on their site. These are parts that can be used to repair the device. We can see that the shape is exactly what we saw in previous renders, and all the cutouts line up with the appropriate spots. The screen looks to be using AMOLED technolgoy, which Nokia has used on all devices except the Lumia 920. It is speculated that Nokia has opted for the AMOLED here so that they can make the battery bigger and also keep the device thinner. AMOLED displays take up less space. The Lumia 928 will basically be a Lumia 920 with a slightly bigger battery and thinner body. We’re expecting an announcement very soon, and launch soon after that.

Are you getting excited, Verizon users?

Very excited and wish they would just release it now. My HTC Trophy is on its last leg and killing me.

  • I feel your pain. I used the Trophy for a long time. I have the 8X now.
