LinkedIn gets much needed update for Windows Phone 8

LinkedIn is one of those apps that has been on Windows Phone practically since day one. Microsoft knows how many business people use Windows products, and with LinkedIn being such a widely used service among professionals it’s no wonder why they made sure it was on the platform. Unfortunately the app hasn’t seen many updates recently, especially since the launch of Windows Phone 8. Today it got some much needed love.

LinkedIn now finally supports all three tile sizes. They’ve also built in lockscreen support for images that appear in LinkedIn Today. Another new feature for Windows Phone 8 is the voice commands. Now you can say things like “LinkedIn Inbox from anywhere and you will be whisked away to that area. Unfortunately the app still does not support higher screen resolutions.

Do you use LinkedIn? This is a much needed update for an app that is starting to show its age. There is still some work to be done, but this is a good step. You can download LinkedIn below for free on Windows Phone 8 and 7.x devices.
