OpenTable gets complete overhaul for Windows Phone 8

OpenTable is a popular service that restaurants use to make dinner reservations super simple. They’ve had a Windows Phone app for quite a while, but it was really starting to show its age. Thankfully they have finally updated the app and completely redesigned it for Windows Phone 8.

Version 2.0 of OpenTable has a completely new look. It was never an ugly app, but now it looks more modern. The changes are not just skin deep. OpenTable now uses Foodspotting photos for dishes, mobile-optimized restaurant menus, and reviews from verified users. You can add reservations to the calendar right from the app, and sign in with Facebook. Reservations can be pinned to the Start screen and display details. The app even has lockscreen support.

This is a really excellent update for an aging app. OpenTable is invaluable if you’re someone that makes reservations a lot. It’s much easier than looking up phone numbers and making calls. OpenTable is available for free only for Windows Phone 8 devices.
