Angry Birds relaunches with 100 new levels and free for a limited time

Angry Birds

It’s December 2009. Rovio, a previously unknown developer, launches a game about flinging birds at pigs. This relatively simple game becomes wildly successful overnight, and soon it comes to every platform imaginable. If you’d like to relive the phenomenon you are in luck.

Rovio and Microsoft are relaunching the original Angry Birds game for Windows Phone. This new version includes 100 new levels, and will be available for free until May 15th. The reason Rovio is relaunching the game is so it will be easier to support later on. The previous version of Angry Birds was built for Windows Phone 7 a long time ago, so it’s very outdated.

There’s not much more to say about this game that hasn’t already been said before. Birds. Eggs. Pigs. Slingshot. You know the drill. Angry Birds is still one of the best and most addictive games out there. grab the relaunched version for all Windows Phone devices below.
