Nokia officially announces the Lumia 928 for Verizon

Finally! After teasing it all week Nokia has decided it is time to officially announce the Lumia 928 for Verizon. This is Verizon’s first high-end Nokia Windows Phone device, and it should make a lot of Verizon customers happy. The device will be available on May 16th at Verizon stores and online.

As expected the camera is front and center on the 928. Nokia says it includes PureView technology, optical image stabilization, a Carl Zeiss lens, and xenon flash. Nokia says it’s so good that you can leave your SLR camera at home. We’ll be the judge of that.

The display is 4.5-inches OLED with Gorilla Glass. it has wireless charging built-in like many previous Lumia phones. The body of the device is slightly thinner and lighter than the Lumia 920, and it has a new flat-edge design instead of the rounded design we’ve seen in past generations. It really looks beautiful, and we’re happy to see a new design from Nokia.

As said above the Lumia 928 will be available at Verizon stores and online on May 16th. For a limited time it will come with $35 to spend in the Windows Phone Store on apps and games. Pricing of the phone has not yet been announced, but we will keep you posted (Full Specs and Pricing). Who’s picking one of these up?!
