Acer Iconia W3 64GB model up for pre-order on Amazon

Today at Computex Acer officially took the wraps off the first 8-inch Windows 8 tablet, the Iconia W3. Back in early May they accidentally put the Iconia W3 on Amazon, but then quickly removed it. Today the 64GB model has once again appeared on Amazon, and this time it is up for pre-order.

Like we mentioned above, the Iconia W3 is the first Windows 8 device with a display smaller than 10-inches. That means it will come with Windows 8.1, and all the new goodies, already installed. It is powered by a Intel Atom processor which allows it to run full Windows 8. Other specs for this device include 64GB of storage, 2MP front and rear camera, microUSB port, microHDMI port, and 8 hours of battery life.

It’s listed on Amazon for $429¬†with free shipping. There is no information on when to expect the device to ship. The cheaper 32GB version of the Iconia W3 is not yet listed on Amazon for pre-order.

I wish they would release a 7-8 inch Surface. It would probably cost an eyeball, though. I might be getting the 32 GB version!
