Mini tablets are all the rage these days, and the craze is finally creeping into the Windows world. At the start of the week Acer made the Iconia W3 officially the first 8″ Windows 8 tablet. Not far behind is the Lenovo Miix 8, shown off today at a special event at Computex.

The Lenovo Miix 8 was shown off today by Microsoft marketing manager Leigha Anderson. She didn’t spill too much info on the device specs, but she did mention it will have 3G connectivity and accessories such as a stylus. In the photo it looks as if the device is made of aluminum with a plastic section for antennas. Sizing looks very similar to something like a Nexus 7. That’s all we know about the Miix 8 so far, but it looks like a nice little tablet.

Hmmm… Wondering if I should wait before I pull the trigger on the W3.
