Windows Phone is starting to get more large-scale games, such as Halo Spartan Assault, and a lot of that is thanks to the hard work done by Nokia. Gameloft is one developer that pushes out a lot of Windows Phone games. Their latest, and epic FPS called N.O.V.A. 3, is available now in the Windows Phone Store.

N.O.V.A. 3 is a familiar game to anyone that has ever played Halo, which is probably a lot of you. It’s a space shooter revolving around war. You play as Kal Wardin, a man who has returned to Earth just in time to save mankind from civil war. The graphics and effects are nothing but top-notch in N.O.V.A. 3. This is the type of immersive game we’ve been wanting to see more of on Windows Phone.

There are 10 action packed levels to beat in order to save Earth. After that you can play with multiplayer with up to 12 people at a time. With seven different game modes in multiplayer it should take a while before you get bored. Since this is an Xbox game you will be racking up achievements all the while.

N.O.V.A. 3 is available now in the Windows Phone Store for WP8 devices. It is available for $6.99 and a free trial. $7 might seem a bit pricey, but this game is worth every penny.

Is this another underdeveloped and untested piece of garbage by Gameloft ? Like most of their other games on the Windows Phone platform ? I’m surprised that Microsoft is risking the platforms reputation by releasing so many games by this greedy Gameloft company, with non-existent support and questionable business scheme of releasing overpriced unfinished products in hopes that people will generate enough money to make it profitable before they realize a game stops working after a while and money they’ve spent is non-refundable. Is you think I’m a troll, just go to their official “support” forums – the wall of shame – and see what people have to say about Gameloft. For the love of God, don’t buy from them.
