Microsoft takes on the iPad again, this time with Dell XPS 10

Microsoft is at it again with another ad to take on the iPad. Last time Microsoft compared the iPad to the Asus VivoTab Smart, a Windows RT tablet. Now, Microsoft is bringing a new contender into the ring: the Dell XPS 10. The latest ad is very similar to the last batch, but it still does a great job.

First the dynamic zooming on the Start screen is shown off as Siri proclaims “sorry, I don’t zoom like that.” Next the user puts an SD card into the Dell, but when they try to put it into the iPad Siri says “you can’t put an SD card there…or there.” Finally they show off how the Dell can do two things at once with multitasking. The ad closes by showing the Dell is $200 cheaper than the iPad for a limited time.

Do you like these iPad vs Windows 8 ads? Are you convinced to buy a Windows RT tablet?

I have the Dell XPS10. Yes, Windows RT has its issues, but I’ll take it over Android and iOS on many fronts.
