How To: Add WinSource, and other websites, to Feedly RSS reader

feedly how to

We’re down to just five days remaining until Google officially puts Reader to rest. In the last few months several viable alternatives have popped up, but the one that seems to be the front-runner is Feedly. We like Feedly because it offers a seamless transition from Google Reader, and their new cloud syncing service allows other apps to use Feedly. One of our favorite apps, Nextgen Reader, is doing just that.

Setting up Feedly is dead easy. All you need to get started is a Google account. Just head to Feedly.com and click “One-click Google Reader Import” or “Login,” a window will pop up to ask your permission. Next follow the easy steps in the image above to add WinSource, or any other website, to your account.

  1. Select “+Add Content”
  2. Search for the website or topic you’re interested in.
  3. Click the [+] icon or “+add to my Feedly” to add a website to your account.

It’s as easy as that. Now you are officially Google Reader free! To use Feedly on your Windows Phone download Nextgen Reader and sign in with your new Feedly account.

I hated this at first, but then I discovered the “preview” button. It quickly opens a browser-like window where I’m commenting from now!
