Sprint is late to the Windows Phone 8 game, but they are making up for lost time by quickly releasing their new devices. Just last week they announced the HTC 8XT and Samsung ATIV S Neo. Today they have sent out a press release to announce pricing and availability for the 8XT.

The device will be available on July 19th for $99.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in-rebate. One thing Sprint can offer that not many other carriers can is unlimited data. Sprint is the last carrier to truly offer unlimited data, and they have even begun rolling out LTE in some areas.

The 8XT is similar to the 8X in name and specs, but in appearance it actually looks much more like the 8S. The 8XT rocks a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 4.3″ HD display, 8MP camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 1800mAh battery. HTC also added dual front-facing speakers to give it BOOMSOUND like you can find on the HTC One. It’s a solid phone, and an easy choice for anyone on Sprint.

Do we know the off-contract price yet?

  • They didn’t mention it.

  • Edgar Cervantes

Oh well. Sprint is far from exciting, anyways.

    8GB of storage? pass.

  • Q

Maybe so, but Sprint is generally cheaper and still has unlimited data. That’s enough for me to stay on it, so these WP8 devices are a welcome sight.

  • Edgar Cervantes

Well, T-Mobile is affordable too. And they offer unlimited data.
