New render and specs complete the Nokia Lumia 1020 picture

nokia lumia 1020 leak render wpcentral

We’re just a couple of days away from Nokia’s event for the Lumia 1020 (aka EOS), and we basically know everything about the device. If there was anything left to be discovered it has been found in a new massive leak. Everything that you could want to know about the 1020 is now available. If you like surprises, the rest of the post is full of spoilers. Be warned.

The new render (seen above) shows of the 1020 in its range of colors: yellow, white, and black. We’re still holding out hope that red and cyan join the party. Now for some knitty gritty specs and some info on how the camera works:

  • It has optical image stabilization (OIS) built in
  • It takes the image in a 32MP and 5MP at the same time in 16:9
  • The 5MP image is over sampled dropping 7pixels into one “super pixel”
  • It shoots 38MP in 4:3
  • “Nokia 909” was an early name for it but it will be “Lumia 1020” for release
  • 2GB of RAM, an increase of 1GB from other high end Windows Phone 8 devices
  • 32GB of internal storage, no SD
  • WP8 V 8.0.10322.71
  • FM radio (Amber)
  • Flip to silence (Amber)
  • NFC is on board
  • Optional wireless charging backplate will be available

Sounds pretty good. There is some very unique camera technology going on in the Lumia 1020. If the sample photos from yesterday are true the result is magnificent. We can also see that the “Lumia 909” name from last week was just an early name, but Lumia 1020 will be the real name. Thursday is the day the 1020 gets officially announced.

Ok…. I know I have always said it would be fugly, but it actually looks better once you see a render.
