PSA: HTC 8XT now available from Sprint

htc 8xt sale

It is the day of salvation for anyone on Sprint still using a HTC Arrive. Today, Sprint’s first Windows Phone 8 device, has finally gone up for sale. The HTC 8XT is available starting today for $99 with a new two-year contract. It has been a very long time since a new Windows Phone was available on Sprint, so today is a very good day.

The 8XT shares a name with the original 8X, but it shares its look with the 8S. It sports a 4.3-inch 720p display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. It also has dual front-facing BOOMSOUND speakers, like the HTC One. This is a pretty awesome device for Sprint, but we would also like to see them get some Nokia Lumia devices. Does anyone plan on picking this phone up?

eh… I’ll wait for the vaporhardware Ativ S Neo… if it really exists.. not that Sprint has the communication skills to say if it will or not..

I Would if any store within 50 miles had one.

This article states that it has 720 resolution for the screen. This is incorrect. The actual resolution of the phone is 480×800. It’s WVGA.

Yeah I waited for this and it was such a terrible device, I cancelled my service and preordered a Lumina 1020 with AT&T.
