The long-awaited arrival of the 41MP PureView camera coming to a Windows Phone device is finally officially here. Starting today, Friday June 26th, the Nokia Lumia 1020 is available at AT&T retail stores and online. The device is available in yellow, black, and white (all matte) for $299 with a two-year contract.

The Lumia 1020 is a phone that needs no introduction, but for those of you unfamiliar with this device the big deal is the camera. The 1020 comes equipped with a 41MP PureView camera. The reason behind the huge megapixel count is so you can zoom in very far  and the photo quality will not suffer. This is something that normal digital zoom smartphone cameras are bad at.

Besides the camera, you’re looking at a Lumia 920 with a bump on the back. It has a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2mP front camera, 2,000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. At $300 it may seem a little pricey, but you’re getting a capable smartphone and a camera that can replace your digital camera. Who is getting one?
