8-inch Acer Iconia W3 Windows 8 tablet drops to $299

acer iconia w3

The first Windows 8 device with an 8-inch display received mixed reviews at launch. Many people loved the size of the Iconia W3, but the quality of the device itself was not up to par. Acer had to cut some corners to be able to hit the sub-$400 price point. It’s still a pretty nice device, and that low price has dropped even lower.

The W3 originally retailed for just $379. That would be an awesome price for even a Surface RT device, and it’s exceptional for a full Windows 8 device. That’s right, the Iconia W3 runs full Windows 8, and now it’s available for just $299. Other specs include an Intel Atom 1.8GHz processor, 32GB of storage, USB port, micro-HDMI port, microSD card slot, and the weakest feature is the 1280×800 resolution display.

You can buy the Iconia W3 for its new price on Amazon and the Microsoft Store. If you’re looking for a portable Windows 8 device to carry around this is a very nice affordable option.
