This is it, folks. The fabled Nokia phablet is alive and well. The Verge is reporting that Nokia is currently testing a 6-inch Windows Phone device. The device is codenamed “Bandit,” and it will be ready to launch later this year. On top of the 6-inch display is a list of specs that will make even Android users drool.

Not only is the display 6-inches, but it will also be the first Windows Phone device with a 1080p display. Powering the device will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, another first for a Windows Phone device. The camera will be no less than 20MP, and will sit in a slight hump similar to the Lumia 925 camera. The bpdy will be polycarbonate, and is reportedly thin and lightweight. The Bandit will launch with GDR3 on AT&T.

The Verge also mentions that Nokia is working on bringing the Lumia 925 to more carriers, which will most likely be AT&T. These are some awesome new developments, and we can’t wait to hear more about the Bandit. A phablet is coming. Are you ready?

Hopefully a phone this size will have a 64GB variant and/or expandable storage. I’ll definitely be considering it this fall.

I hope this comes with a large square tile like in Windows 8.1.

A phone this large should have the same camera as the Lumia 1080.
