Skype finally gets Video Messages support on Windows Phone in latest update

It has taken a long time, but today Microsoft finally gave their own OS a feature that everyone else has had for months. Earlier this year Skype added a new feature called “Video Messages” on their Android, iOS, and Mac apps. Windows Phone was left out. Several updates have arrived since then, but every time we are disappointed to still be missing the feature. Not today.

Skype version finally adds Video Messages for Windows Phone 8 users. This feature allows you to send quick messages of video recordings to your friends. It’s like a voicemail, but with video. We’re not sure if we’ll ever use this feature, but it’s still nice to have it when everyone else does. Especially since we are on Microsoft’s own OS. The update also includes some bug fixes and performance improvements. Download below.
