‘Where’s My Water? 2’ comes to Windows Phone and iOS before Android

One of Disney’s most popular games is getting a sequel, and it’s coming to Windows Phone right along with iOS. Where’s My Water? 2 should be available sometimes today in the Windows Phone Store. Disney is launching the game on WP and iOS, but not Android. We will revel in the moment, because usually it’s the other way around. So, what does WMW2 have to offer? Lots.

What’s New?

Swampy is back in action again this time, but his two friends (who were downloadable in the first game) are not by his side from the start. The standard gameplay that made this game so popular is still the main part of this game, but now there is new “Duck Rush” levels. In these levels you quickly dig away the dirt as water streams down the screen. It’s frantic and tons of fun. There are also some new locations, such as a soap factory and the beach.

A big new feature in WMW2 is that the game is completely free to play. What’s the catch? There are in-app purchases that can help you beat the game, but also “energy” that runs out after you play for a certain amount of time. Once your energy runs out you have to wait to play more, or of course you can buy more energy. This is the same mechanic games like Candy Crush Saga use.

Where’s My Water? 2 should be showing up in the Store very soon for Windows Phone 8 device. The link device will take you to the app page once it goes live. Enjoy!
