Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet spotted with ‘Verizon 4G LTE’ logo

Verizon-Lumia-1520

So far we’ve learned just about everything there is to know about the Lumia 1520, except for one important thing: carriers. Initial rumors suggested it will launch on AT&T, and those rumors have been backed up lately. Nokia and AT&T have a great relationship, so that news isn’t totally surprising (though I’m sure users on other carriers are getting sick of it).

Today a photo has leaked which should be good news to anyone not on AT&T. The Lumia 1520 has been spotted with Verizon branding, along with their “4G LTE” logo. The device itself is a white model, which we also spotted this morning. Seeing the 1520 with Verizon branding likely means it will feature the same exclusivity period as the Lumia 925. That phone launched on T-Mobile, but has since come to AT&T.

“Oh, I can get this phone now? What is it?”

If you Verizon customers haven’t been keeping track, the Lumia 1520 is the first Windows Phone phablet. It has a 6-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, and 20MP camera. The Start Screen has an extra column of tiles for the extra screen resolution, and the battery is a whopping 3400 mAh. Basically, this is a phone even Android users can be jealous of.

The 1520 is expected to launch in early November for AT&T, which could mean it will come to Verizon as soon as January or February. It’s also possible that Nokia could surprise us with a dual-carrier launch. We’ll have to wait and see.

Thanks everyone!
