Angry Birds Star Wars II arrives on Windows Phone a day earlier than Android and iOS

Like George Lucas, Rovio knows that every good thing deserves a sequel. Angry Birds Star Wars II is the follow up to the popular game that launched last year. The game was set to launch on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone on September 19th, but it is already available today on Windows Phone. Hopefully it’s better than Attack of the Clones.

What’s New?

This game focuses more on the Star Wars  prequels. That can be a good or a bad thing, depending on who you are. Environments like Naboo and characters like Darth Maul have been added. New powers have also been added, such as Darth Maul’s classic double-bladed lightsaber. All the new stuff is great, but at the end of the day it’s still just Angry Birds.

Every Angry Birds game is better than the last, but by now you are very familiar with how the game works. If you are okay with that, and you like Star Wars, this is a great game to have. By the way, it’s an Xbox Live game. So you get achievements and what not. Angry Birds Star Wars II is available for $.99 or free trial on Windows Phone 8.
