It’s been a long time since we talked about the Microsoft and Google YouTube debacle. Today we have more news for you, but unfortunately it’s not good. A few months ago the “official” YouTube app that Microsoft had made without Google’s permission stopped working. Since then Microsoft has been working with Google to get a fix.
An update is available now in the Windows Phone Store for the YouTube app. The update does fix the errors, but it also completely takes the app back to the mobile web player. Now the app is once again a glorified bookmark to the YouTube mobile site. Apparently Microsoft was not able to get the situation resolved with Google.

Windows Phone users have once again been completely shunned by Google. Apparently we aren’t deserving of even the most basic of apps. Microsoft literally did all the work for Google, but they still refuse to work out something to give Windows Phone users an app. There are several other great YouTube apps available for Windows Phone that you can use. Watch for more on that later this week!
If you want the app, though we don’t know why you would, you can download it below.
