Rovio is back with another Angry Birds-themed game, and this time they are taking it to the race track. Angry Birds Go! is a new Mario Kart-inspired racing game with power-ups, weapons, and upgrade-able race cars. Rovio calls it a “crazy downhill race,” but it looks a lot like any other racing game you’ve probably played.

Today Rovio released their first gameplay trailer for Angry Birds Go!. The game includes all the likely characters, both birds and pigs, and some new racing machines. As you might expect there are tons of unique power-ups, and coins can be collected to upgrade your race car. The game will be free, but we expect to see a lot of in-app purchases.

This is Rovio’s first attempt at a 3D game. The game will even support Hasbro’s Telepods so you can import physical toys into the game. Angry Birds Go! is launching on Windows Phone 8 on December 11th, right along side Android and iOS. Getting big name games on launch day is what we like to see. Who is ready to race some birds?
