Microsoft creates a 17 foot tall Surface tablet with working keyboard

Microsoft loves to make giant replicas of their devices. In the past they erected a giant Windows Phone 7 device with working live tiles in New York City. Now they have created a giant Surface tablet in London with a working keyboard. We’re beginning to suspect a giant is secretly working at Microsoft.

The giant Surface tablet can be found in Trafalgar Square, one of London’s biggest tourist spots. The tablet comes in at a whopping 27 feet wide by 17 feet tall, giving it a 383-inch display. The coolest part is the display and giant Type Cover both work. Microsoft has a spelling game set up for local school kids to play. The whole thing is being powered by a real Surface 2 tablet.

We have to admit this is pretty dang cool. It’s an awesome way to show people how powerful a Surface tablet can be, and it’s also a good way to advertise that they are now on sale. Did you pick up a Surface tablet? Let us know in the poll below!
