The last couple details we’ve been waiting to learn about the Lumia 1520 are release date and pricing. Thanks to the Microsoft Store we now know both of these. According to the listing on the Microsoft Store website the 1520 will released on November 15th for $199 on contract. The off contract pricing is $549, which is actually a pretty nice price.

The pricing is pretty much you would expect from a high-end flagship phone. We’re glad Nokia didn’t try to go over $200 like they did with the Lumia 1020. Keep in mind that this is the AT&T version of the 1520 which doesn’t have wireless charging and only 16GB of storage. The phone is available in black, white, yellow, and red. Here’s a little refresher on the specs:

  • 6-inch 1080p display
  • Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor
  • 20MP PureView camera
  • 16GB of internal storage
  • 2GB of RAM
  • Windows Phone 8 Lumia Black

How much of an issue is only having 16GB on this device? I’m moving from Android as my main, and I always do 32GB or more. I’m debating between this or a 1020 with 32GB.

  • I’ve never owned a phone with more than 16GB of storage in my life and it’s never been an issue. It really depends on if you’re someone that takes a ton of photos or has a lot of music.

Thanks Joe. I’m testing a Lumia 520 right now with 8GB, and that thing is full, even with music, photos, and Maps moved to the SD Card. My Nexus 7 (2012) with 16GB is full, too. I’m wondering with games being put out with 1.6GB install sizes, will I be in trouble…. I don’t know if app size is larger, smaller, or on par with Android apps.

That should mean that the 929 will be announced within the next week or so.
