Nokia Video Director makes video editing in Windows 8 a breeze

A few weeks ago at Nokia World there were some new apps announced along side Nokia’s new tablet. Today they have taken some time to talk about one app in particular: Video Director. This is a new Windows 8/RT app that hopes to make editing video on a tablet or touch device much simpler, even for people who don’t know what they are doing.

“We wanted to make Nokia Video Director simple for everyone to use, but powerful enough that people can really personalize and customize their videos.”

Nokia Video Director uses a three-step process for editing video. First step is to pick the video clips and photos you want to use. Next you pick a “style” which includes filters, transitions, and color schemes. Lastly you add the intro and outro titles and click “preview.” The nice thing about these steps is you can fiddle with them as much or as little as you want.

Video Director is not just for your tablet, there is also a companion app for Lumia phones. The app helps you transfer photos and videos between devices. Both Nokia Video Director and the companion app will be available with the launch of the Lumia 2520 tablet.
