Nokia Lumia 2520 for Verizon will be $399 with contract

We are patiently awaiting Nokia’s very first tablet device, the Lumia 2520, to go up for sale soon. We know it will be available from AT&T and Verizon, but we don’t know when or how much it will cost. The leaked image above gives us a glimpse of at least Verizon’s pricing for the tablet.

This image is allegedly from a Verizon Black Friday sale that will put the 2520 up for $399 with a new 2-year contract. The tablet will also be on sale for $499 without a contract. We would have liked to see Verizon offer more of an incentive to sign a contract. For $100 it doesn’t seem worth it to be locked in for two years.

Black Friday this year will be on November 29th. For those unfamiliar with the “holiday,” it’s the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S. where stores usually have massive sales. This sale, however, will not be relegated to just Black Friday. Also, if you think the “Windows 8.1 OS” is a typo that is actually what Windows RT is now called. Full Windows has “Pro” in the name.

So, who is going to pick one of these up? Are you going to both with a contract from Verizon to save $100?

  • Not interested in any of the non-Pro variants. Shame. If a carrier could get a WinPro tablet for $500 on a two-year contract I’d jump in so quick.

Dude… $100 off? That is a slap in the face!
