Just because Nokia is selling its Devices and Services division doesn’t mean they have stopped working. @evleaks has once again discovered some new Nokia devices with interesting codenames. In the past Nokia has used names like “Batman” for upcoming devices. This time Nokia has once again shown their geeky side.

The new list of codenames includes “Goldfinger, Moneypenny, Normandy, Phantom, and Spinel.” 007 fans will recognize the first two names as James Bond…acquaintances. The other three codenames don’t seem to belong to anything in particular. “Normandy” has been used in many things, including the name of a ship in Mass Effect. Phantom is used everywhere, and Spinel is a type of gemstone. Your interpretation is as good as ours.

“Do you expect Nokia to use these names?”

“No, Mr. Bond, I expect them to Lumia!”
