Bluetooth 4.0 LE coming to all Nokia phones with Lumia Black update

In the summer rumors were swirling about Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE) arriving on Lumia phones with the Amber update. Some low-end devices, like the Lumia 520, 620, and 720, already have Low Energy support. According to a Nokia FAQ page we can expect LE to be enabled across the board with Lumia Black.

Bluetooth 4.0 LE enables devices to connect to your phone without eating up battery. This is the standard that devices like Fitbit use to sync with phones. Once Lumia phones get Bluetooth LE they will be able to sync with these devices as well, assuming they make an app. One place Windows Phone struggles is compatibility with all the cool new wearables and fitness tech. Getting Bluetooth LE would be a step in the right direction.
