Google responds to Microsoft’s “Scroogled” merchandise store

scroogled gear

Yesterday we told you about Microsoft’s new “Scroogled” merchandise they are selling in their online store. They have mugs, t-shirts, and hoodies on sale with anti-Google phrases and imagery plastered all over. We wondered what Google would think about all of this, and without fail they released a short comment on the situation.

“Microsoft’s latest venture comes as no surprise; competition in the wearables space is really heating up.”

That’s pretty dang funny, actually. We have to hand it to Google for not taking this too seriously. Google doesn’t feel threatened by the “Scroogled” campaign, and we don’t really blame them. Most people have no idea what Scroogled is. Maybe when millions of people start walking around with Scroogled t-shirts they will get worried. Until that day comes they are content to let Microsoft have their fun.

Have you bought any Scroogled gear?
