MetroMail (unofficial Gmail app) adds the ability to upload photos and more


We haven’t talked about MetroMail yet on this site, but it’s high time that changes. MetroMail is made by the same developer as MetroTalk, the excellent 3rd-party Google Voice app. Now he is attempting to bring Windows Phone a Gmail app for power users. The stock email app in Windows Phone is functional for Gmail, but MetroMail take it up a notch.

Some of the things MetroMail can do over the stock email app include starring emails, labels, inbox tabs, no more broken threads, toast notifications, and much more. In the latest update even more powerful features have been added. You can now upload photos, forward attachments, night mode for notifications, local drafts, a new wide tile, speech-to-text, mark as spam, and a lot more.
