New Windows 8.1 Update 1 leak shows taskbar over Metro apps and OneDrive branding

Did you want more Windows 8.1 Update 1 leaks? Too bad, we have some anyway.. Ever since the update leaked on the web there have been leaks coming out like crazy. Every time Microsoft sends an update there is something new to find. The latest changes to Update 1 are significant.

The boot-to-desktop feature is only the default setting on non-touchscreen devices. This makes perfect sense. If you have a touchscreen you want the Start Screen, and if you have a mouse you want the desktop. Of course, the setting can also be changed by the users. Another feature that will only be on touchscreen devices is the new power button in the upper right side of the Start Screen.

Lastly, the taskbar that you usually only see in the desktop can now appear anywhere. Hovering the mouse over the bottom of the screen will bring up the taskbar from anywhere. This will work great with the ability to pin Metro apps. One final new change is the first sings of OneDrive branding. Microsoft was forced to change the name of SkyDrive, and it was recently discovered OneDrive would be the new name.
